The small things

What makes me happy:
Well yesterday was a lovely day. Actually, no its started off as bad as a day could be. It started off with me rushing to the bank to withdrawal money for the day's use, BUT NO. I EXCEEDED MY PASSWORD ATTEMPTS AND THE ATM ATE MY CARD. So i decided to go to school to hand in a form then take off to the city for Bandanna Day, with a quick stop at the bank to get my card back and tell them what happened. Too bad i realised after i left the bank when they called to tell me it was my mum's card and it wasn't mine -__________- NO WONDER WHY OG:KLSHFLAHSFH

Anyways actually selling bandanas and just being in the city was really nice.
To top off the day i got my mx, and as my tweets suggest i was pretty much taking photos of my mx and tweeting the articles which particularly interested me HAHA. NOT STRANGE.

I love my MX. I don't even know why i like reading them so much! Maybe it's the weird overheard conversations, star sign readings and 'here's looking at you' sections that keep me coming back. Or is it the wacky articles?

Ahh yes, i bought Ellen's new book! I was in Dymocks George Street, and i was looking for this book and doing laps around the isles and couldn't find it... so i seeked help from one of the people working there. I asked politely if they had the book and all he said was "(chuckle) WE SURE DO HAHAHA, i'll go grab it for you" ... I didn't know how to take that.

Here are two lovely pictures of the pages. Isn't it beautiful? And my hand. Lovely.

MY BANDANNA!

Oh yes this bag i took for the day. I really do love it. It's really compact, with all its compartments separating everything and making it all neat :$ , it was my mum's! :)

So yes, what makes me happy is certainly a book, my MX and being in the city. WAIT, NO, WHERE IS MY STARBUCKS?! Everyone calm day, i got my Starbucks from the QVB just before i left but thought it would be too weird to take a photo of my MX AND my drink on the train. Oh wells...

Hope you all had a lovely day!

Helen & Maria's Safari Sweet 16th

This week's Friday night was spent at my dearest Helen and Maria's sweet 16th. Their theme for the party was (as the title suggests) SAFRARI!! My feet absolutely died last night, my Freja RMK heels + on throughout the whole night = a disagreeing combo. Anyways, thanks for the lovely night <3

In a little quiet place

Hello world, or internet world, or tweeters or bloggers ... facebookers? google plusers? Yeah i probably had way too much sugar today...
ANYWAYS, i hope everyone had a lovely day as i definitely did! Today, was my very first 2011 SCHOOL SPECTACULAR rehearsal :) I actually enjoyed the rehearsal and had a good time (yeah, i normally doze off during rehearsals... or something similar). We got our music, had a run through everything and made beautiful music. (ha.) The rehearsal was held at Lewisham. Small, quiet, sleepy suburb. I normally head there on Tuesdays for Singers so it wasn't anything new.
I saw my lovely Georgia who i am proud to say is a BV at School spec (and for once, i was rehearsing without her, which is odd, cause she is always there to make sure we sound amazing ... someone to fall back on when you can't reach the incredibly, glass-breaking high note, or when your sight reading is as poor as your asian family friend trying to read a street name.) ANYWHOOOOO, after rehearsals i had to rush back and fulfill my asian side of the family and head to tutoring. Hope all is well, till next time!

One spectacular day...

Hey all, hope all are well :)

Although my yearly exams are the first week back and i'm trying to study as much as i can, i guess i can't skip my other commitments. That being singing and all that... jazz (Yes, I went there). Anyways, International, amazing WORLD KNOWN, tenor, Placido Domingo is in Syndey part of his tour, and i have been fortunate enough to sing along with some few others at his Tour Launch Conferene at the Intercontinental Sydney Hotel (WHICH IS AMAZING AND FABULOUS and as my friend Jack said "Makes me feel as if i'm an episode of Gossip Girl!) ... So here's how my day went!

Getting up at 6:30am in the morning after going to bed at 12:30am (DURING THE HOLIDAYS) is not a great mix. But thank gosh for some coffee at the cafe right outside the Con!

After the performance, since i was still in the city (Circular Quay) i decided to explore my city and take a few snap shots of the beautiful icons of Sydney

The Harbour Bridge in view from the Opera House

The Opera House

You know, at night, walking to Circular Quay Train Station from rehearsals or performances at the Opera House, all these lamps (all lined up) are lit and i always, (ALWAYS) take in the moment when i walk out from the stage door and out from under the Opera House to see the amazing lamps all lit up and all beautiful. It just really is spectacular (ESPECIALLY WITH THE WIND FROM THE SEA GUSHING PASSING YOUR FACE - seriously a be there moment :( But it really is breath-taking!)

See behind the gates, that glass window area? I'm pretty sure one of those rooms, is where the State Singers' dressing rooms are when we perform in the Opera House <3 Has a lovely view of the Harbour Bridge and i just love the gleam of the sun when we walk in the dressing room on a lovely Sunny Day!

Okay, let's go under the Sydney Opera House, where the performers go to meet up before directed to their dressing rooms (or handed out backstage and performers passes :$)

STAGE DOOR - Where i enter each time hehe

OKAY. So you're walking along here at night with the lamps lit,

Yepp, keep walking out, and everything is lit up and as soon as you reach the clearing a fresh gush of air hits your face. :) be-a-u-ti-ful!

Here are the views from the Opera House:

And what we will see as we head back :)

And the lovely, Art Museum on the other side...

\

And that concludes the journey

Hope you all had an amazing day as did I
TILL NEXT TIME!
